KATSUGEN
A free-form practice with origins in Shinto (the indigenous spirituality of Japan), Katsugen leaves us refreshed, cleansed and re-sensitized.  It uncovers our spontaneity, authenticity and health. The practice starts with exercises to release the diaphragm low back and neck. Following these exercises we wait for spontaneous movement to come, setting aside the mind and the will to let the body be moved.

Save the date! Katsugen Course offering: Four Thursdays 7:30-9:30, July 16-August 6th at Zen Shiatsu Chicago in Evanston. This course is suitable for everyon. We will begin with a short lecture followed by Katsugen practice. Afterwards we may do some partnered touch practice. In the space of authenticity cleared by Katsugen, we will lay hands on the abdomen, back, feet and neck, following the breath. 

SHIATSU
Japanese full-body acupressure, often referred to as acupuncture without needles. All treatments include specialized treatment of joints.
